Article Marketing Secrets - How to Market Your Articles in Your Own Blog

One of the best ways to market and repurpose your articles is to use them in your blog(s). Here are three ways I use regularly to market and repupose my articles that will work for you all day, everyday.

3 Ways to Blog with Your Articles

1. Parts of articles - Because blog articles are intended to be shorter than the average article, you can start an one in your blog and finish it somewhere else. Create a post using the first few sentences of your article, and then create a link for the reader to click to read the rest. This link can take them to another page in your blog or to your web site.

2. Article Series - You can post a series on the same theme or topic or challenge. You can create a nice following with your readers as they look forward to returning to read the next article in the series. You can build the anticipation a bit at the end of each installment by letting the reader know what is coming in the next one.

3. Break up the article - Tips articles are great for breaking up your writing into different posts. For example, in this article I'm giving you three tips for repurposing your articles in your blog. I could very easily, and probably will, take each one of these tips and create a post with it. At the end of each post, I will give the reader a very brief preview of what to expect in the next post, again to build the anticipation.

Online Promotion Not Working? Drop All Your Marketing Strategies And Do This Now

There are several techniques and tons and tons of expert advice available, on how to increase traffic to your site, but the truth is that even after following those techniques and the advice, your website at times fails to attract as much traffic as you would like. It is important to find out exactly why this is happening.

The first step in this direction is to ask yourself whether you have a good, strong marketing plan or not. If there is a plan, then make sure it is being executed properly. Marketing is a time consuming task, but it is the only way to generate traffic because there are millions of websites on the internet and it is important for web-surfers to know that your site also exists; otherwise, you cannot expect them to just land up on your site or happen to stop by.

What this means is that, you cannot sit and wait for people to come to your site. Your marketing plan should be such that it must reach out and tell people about your website, so that people are forced to take look at it, at least once.

Now if you do have a solid marketing plan but it is not generating the results you expect, then you should take a closer look at your marketing kit. Small things like signature files, shorts classified ads, solo ads, PPC campaign text, organize them all in one place and study them. Perhaps they need more punch.

Marketing is such an intense activity that most firms spend over 90% of their working hours behind marketing. You should not be different. Most internet marketers spend plenty of time on marketing to generate their desired income. Remember internet income is not a matter of a few clicks; it takes hard work and long hours.

In case you are involved in a joint venture and are not making profits, then you should look at the fine print and if necessary, find another partner who is better skilled in traffic generation.

Monitor your website statistics closely. If you have done link building then find out if the sites linked to yours are actually doing any good. If not, then start another link building campaign.

If you are active in forums, then check regularly, if the forums themselves are active or not. Join new communities and forums to expand your network. Sometimes there can be a small hitch in a broad marketing plan, which prevents a lucrative outcome. Study each point in your marketing campaign and try to zero in on the campaign actions that are no longer working or are hampering the efficiency of the rest of the plan.

Put your marketing plan onto paper. This is very important. It is about as effective as a virtual check and a real check. Also, write down the ways you will market yourself and what marketing materials you require. Keep a scheduler to ensure you spend sufficient time each day on marketing activities.

Success in internet businesses is directly related to traffic. Most traffic formula will work, you just need pay optimal attention to it to make it happen.

Article Marketing - Do You Have The Willpower To Make It?

There's a reason why the top income earners from article marketing are able to do what they do - they have the willpower. They have the motivation to write 5-10 articles a day and submit them diligently to article directories. They have a system that they use almost every day to build their business, whether they are promoting their blogs, their sales pages or their lead capture pages.

If you want to make it with articles, you have to got to have this willpower. Let's face it, many of us write a few articles and then we stop. The main reason is because we don't see any results from these few articles. Well I'm here to tell you that this form of marketing is a long-term strategy. But when this strategy is in place, boy will you receive tons of traffic!

Whenever you feel bored or disinterested in writing the articles (when you know you should be), motivate yourself. Do it with music, or think of your goals. Do you really want to quit the rat race? Do you want that car you are eying? Then take massive action. Now.

Go and write those articles because while you are waiting around doing nothing, others are churning out articles left, right and center and absolutely dominating their marketplace. They are making affiliate sales, capturing leads or selling their products in abundance. Simply because they possess that willpower.

If you want to make the money you know you should have, then stick with a strategy and work it for at least a few months. You know article marketing is a long-term strategy, so take long-term, consistent action.

Website Traffic - Why Article Marketing Blows Away Pay-Per-Click Marketing

It's always great to compare traffic generation strategies because you can tell which strategy is giving you results and which isn't. Or maybe both strategies may be giving you results but you want to know which is more effective in generating qualified prospects.

Two of the most popular traffic generation methods online today are article marketing and pay-per-click marketing. This article won't talk about what both methods are (there are already tons of articles on that) but will compare the two to see which strategy you should invest your efforts in.

Personally, for me, article marketing blows pay-per-click marketing out of the water. Pay-per-click marketing consists of Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing, so that's no small statement I'm making. Well, there's a reason why I say article marketing is more effective.

Let's say that you spend $10 a day on Adwords. That's $300 a month. Now take that $300 and spend it on 100 articles written by a freelancer. Those 100 articles will bring you traffic for a long time, whereas your Adwords traffic was a temporary thing. And prospects generated from articles are way more responsive!

You'll often people willing to spend crazy amounts for cost per click on Adwords, but you won't find that many 'insane' competitors in article marketing. Although the competition has grown massively in recent years, it is still nothing compared to pay-per-click marketing.

And that's why I say article marketing trumps over Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, or any other pay-per-click network. If you don't want to write, outsource your articles. You'll see some terrific results from this marketing strategy if you do it right.

Best Article Marketing - 7 Key Steps to Make More Money With Article Marketing

Article marketing offers webmasters numerous benefits: Quality backlinks to their blogs or website, increased traffic, and cost-effective marketing technique that is proven to work. If you want these benefits and more, follow this 7 steps to successful article marketing:

a. Avoid blatant advertising. Refrain from writing articles with the sole purpose of promoting your website and products. Instead offer your readers quality content that is useful, timely, relevant, and interesting.

b. Check your articles for broken links. Usually, articles with broken links are rejected by article submission sites. Thus, it is helpful if you can use the preview feature of each directory to make sure that all links are working before you click that submit button.

c. Bank on your content. Make your articles engaging and interesting. Also, use the articles to show your expertise on your field. This is the fastest way to gain your potential client's trust.

d. Make use of anchor texts. Hyperlink your targeted keywords so it will be easier for your readers to go to your site in just one click on their mouse.

e. Make short articles. Based on studies, short articles are preferred by most online users. Increase the chances of your articles being read by making them as short as possible. 250-500 word article is ideal for most article submission sites.

f. Create intriguing, interesting titles. Titles act as baits to get online users to read your articles, so take advantage of it. Make sure that your titles will capture the interest of your potential clients by establishing the benefits they can get from reading your articles.

g. Sprinkle keywords on your articles. To get your articles indexed by search engines, use keywords that are usually being used by your potential clients when they use search engines. Use these keywords on your title, on the body of your articles, on your anchor text, and on your resource box.

Beware of Article Marketing's Worst Business Proposition

Article marketing involves a very simple exchange of value:

(1) Writers compose articles that they submit to ezines and to other web based publications; and

(2) Those ezines publish the articles, listing them with search engines, while providing readers and publicity to the writers. Ezines receive much of their compensation from running Google ads.

But what if a writer submits nothing, no articles? Is he entitled to compensation in the form of publicity? Of course, he isn't.

And if the ezine doesn't exist, is it entitled to receive any rights to articles?

Heck, no.

But there is just such an ezine that doesn't function, yet it is fishing for the rights to apparently do as it wishes with the output of writers, without offering anything of current value, in turn.

As a fellow writer, let me caution you against doing business with anyone that has a come-on such as the following offer that was emailed to me, recently:

Hi,

I am promoting a new article website. The site is now ready to accept new articles and I would like to invite you to publish some of the fantastic articles I have seen on the internet. Please visit --- to sign-up.

The site is currently not listed on most search engines as we are awaiting quality content for our readers before any search engines trawl the site. Once these articles are in place we are sure you will enjoy the benefits of high volume traffic to your site from ours.

Thanks,

(Signature)

Where is the value, here?

If they don't get enough quality articles, as they put it, will they even bother to promote the site?

Do yourself a favor. Deal exclusively with EXISTING sites that are already tracked by search engines. And don't give away any of your valuable rights without getting DEFINITE VALUE, in return.

Article Marketing - Stay-At-Home Mom Gets 100,000 Article Views From Just One Article Directory

Just when you are ready to give up article marketing forever... you find out that if you do just a little more, you can blow the roof off the top of your online business.

Let me guess, you have heard all about article marketing, and you have even submitted a few articles. Sure, five years ago that might have been a great way to drive traffic to your website, but it just doesn't work like that anymore. I mean, look at the 5 articles I have submitted, I have just passed 100 views, and only three people clicked through to my website.

That was a lot of work writing those articles, and it sure was not worth having only 3 people click through to my website. I am just going to go back to pay per click, at least I know I am getting some regular viewers to my site, and it only took me 15 minutes to set it up.

Does this sound familiar? It should, it represent 90 percent of the people who post articles on article directories. Let me share a little secret with you that might change your mind. You have to post more than 10 articles. One of the top article directories has said that 90 percent of all authors who publish in their directory never publish more than 9 articles.

I have to admit, I have published more than 50 articles, and there are days when I feel a little discouraged. Then I noticed this interesting statistic on another authors *Extended Author Bio.* EzineArticles.com shows how many articles an author has posted and then it shows how many views they have gotten to date. Here is the first one I looked at: 465 Active articles, resulting in 50,335 views.

When I first read this, I thought it had to be a misprint. I mean, my best article today only has just over 90 views. Even if all of my articles finally ended up with 90 views, that would only be 4500. Then I thought that he has probably been publishing for 10 years. Nope, all of his articles had been published within the last three years. What? How can that be? Even if you multiply 4500 X 3, you only get 13,500. I thought that 13,000 was the absolute best I could ever hope for: boy was I wrong!

I decided to look into it further to see if there was some kind of mistake. I will admit, I had read that at some point when writing articles, you hit what they call, *critical mass.* They say that it is somewhere between 100 and 250 articles. Anyway, here are a few of the stats that I found with very little research:

1,130 Active articles, resulting in 670,296 views, Member since April 27, 2005

58 Active articles, resulting in 27,164 views, Member since March 24, 2005

45 Active articles, resulting in 13,449 views, Member since July 19, 2006

74 Active articles, resulting in 194,018 views, Member since October 27, 2004

After I found these, I decided to focus on authors that had around 200 articles, since that is around where they say you hit critical mass. Here is what I found just around the 200 articles published mark:

238 Active articles, resulting in 339,172 views, Member since June 28, 2005

233 Active articles, resulting in 30,740 views, Member since October 25, 2007

232 Active articles, resulting in 184,233 views, Member since November 01, 2005

231 Active articles, resulting in 57,886 views, Member since July 14, 2006

236 Active articles, resulting in 63,417 views, Member since December 06, 2005

At 200 articles, if you received 90 views each, which I thought was impossible until today, which comes out to 18,000 views per year. The longest time any of the authors over 200 has been publishing is 2.5 years. That means they should have, in a perfect world, 46,250 views max. Only one author has not blown that number out of the water, and he or she has only been publishing less than a year.

Now I have to admit, I had no idea that there was anywhere near this kind of potential. I pride myself on answering questions that you just can't seem to find the answers to anywhere else. This is one of those questions I have had for a while. Just give it to me straight, what can I expect? Well, here it is.

I didn't use any of the author's names, because this is not allowed on many directories. And remember, to see these numbers you do have to look at the extended author bios. If the author has not posted their picture and information about themselves, the directory doesn't setup an extended author page. This means you can't see these numbers on everyone.

I can tell you this, after looking at these findings, I am so motivated that I am taking the rest of the day off from my job to write articles. Looks like the first one to 200 articles wins see you there.

Article Marketing - Announcing 6 Comprehensive Secrets to Supercharge Your Article Marketing

As the internet becomes more and more popular, the demand for information-based marketing techniques (such as writing and distributing articles) has increasingly grown. Today, it is considered as one of the best methods in driving targeted clients to websites and converting them into buyers.

1. Bank on your content. Your primary goal in writing and submitting articles on publishing sites is to entice your readers to click on your resource box. The best way to achieve that is by giving online users great content that showcases your knowledge on your chosen field. When your potential clients feel that you are really good on what you do, they are most likely to trust you and take your recommendations.

2. Write more. As you know, the number of your submissions equate to the number of inbound links that you can obtain for your website. The more articles you write and submit, the greater your chances of improving your traffic and page ranking.

3. Optimize your content. Identify the keywords and key phrases that are usually used by your target market when they are using search engines. Incorporate these keywords on your content to make your articles highly searchable online.

4. Check on your progress. Make it a habit to check the performance of your articles at least once a week. Identify the articles that are generating impressive click through rates and learn the elements that make them successful online. Incorporate these elements to your other articles that are seldom read.

5. Proofread. Any error found on your articles can be a threat against your online credibility and professionalism. Thus, it is of out most importance that you manually check your articles before you post them online.

6. Submit to the best publishing sites. Pick article submission sites that have steady traffic and indexed by major search engines. These are the only sites that can help you realize your article marketing goals.

Article Marketing For Bloggers - 4 Tips To Build Traffic For Your Blog

Bloggers blog. Thats what they do. A blog is short for weblog and its really an online journal that can be updated easily and frequently without any knowledge of HTML code.

Traditionally, article marketing has been used by authors who are promoting their books or information products. Lately, Ive noticed a growing trend of bloggers using article marketing to grow the traffic to their blog and you should too.

Three reasons why it makes sense for bloggers to engage in article marketing:

1) Youve already got a lot of content produced in each of your blog posts. 200 words should be your floor for each article that you produce. In some cases, you already have enough words per post to create 10-50 articles instantly. If you dont, then stitch posts together of a similar theme until you have 200+ word articles to put into article marketing distribution.

2) A blogger has the same traffic building problems that any typical website has, and therefore article marketing can help your blog in the same ways it can help a non-blog website. Benefits include qualified traffic coming to your site year round, quality backlinks being built without any messy recip-linking campaigns, and youre expanding your reach to other experts that might not otherwise have found your blog.

3) Bloggers by nature are more Internet savvy than your typical author. With this said, most bloggers already understand how to create revenue with pay per click (PPC) advertising programs. As such, you already know how to produce keyword intelligent titles for their articles. This guarantees maximum traffic impact for each of your articles.

If you are already a blogger and are new to article marketing, heres how you get started:

1) Produce a cache of 10-25+ articles from your existing blog content.

2) Submit them to the major article directories and any that are niche-relevant to your field of expertise. You may also wish to submit them to ezine publishers directly from your niche.

3) Rinse and repeat until you have 250-1,000+ articles in distribution this year. Hire a college student or editor if you dont have time to get this strategy into practice as itll be well worth it.

4) Watch your traffic counter slowly rise, day by day as your articles work hard for you delivering qualified traffic to your website year round.

Article Marketing as a strategy will not break your traffic counter on your first month of investing in this strategybut, I guarantee if you engage in this strategy, your blog will grow in traffic and popularity beyond the traffic you were already creating by simply blogging. You knows, you might even increase your sales, land a new job, or improve your rank in the search engines as a side-benefit from your article marketing strategy.
