The 10 Commandments of Guerrilla Marketing Design

Guerrilla Marketing Design is more an attitude than a system of dos and donts. Its an attitude that emphasizes the efficient and memorable delivery of information.

-First Commandment: Purposeful

Guerrilla Marketers view design not as a matter of subjective likes and dislikes but as a strategic tool intended to achieve specific goals. Guerrillas avoid unnecessary decoration. Every mark on the page must serve a purpose. Guerrillas make design decisions based on how efficiently their designs communicate a desired message to a specific audience.

Guerrilla Marketing design begins with a plan, based on careful analysis of message, audience and competition.

-Second Commandment: Recognition

Guerrilla Marketers refuse to get lost in a crowd. They know is it better to stand out and be recognized rather than confused with their competition.

Guerrillas recognize that their customers and prospects are bombarded with thousands of competing messages each day. Accordingly, Guerrillas choose colors, typefaces and layouts that project a distinct, easily recognized image that sets their message apart and accurately reflects their values.

Their designs project a consistent image throughout all of their marketing. Consistency is achieved by using a unique combination of colors, type and layout throughout their print and online communications. This consistency multiplies the impact of their marketing dollars.

-Third Commandment: Readable

Guerrilla Marketing Design is reader-friendly design.

Guerrillas recognize that readers are in a hurry and that anything that interferes with easy reading sabotages the delivery of their message.

Guerrillas make reading easy by paying close attention to typeface, type size and line spacing choices. They take painstaking care with spacing, hyphenation and punctuation. They carefully avoid design traps like setting entire words in upper case or overusing white text placed against gray or black backgrounds.

Color is never allowed to interfere with easy reading.

-Fourth Commandment: Emphasis

Guerrillas know when to whisper, when to shout.

They use design to help readers separate the important ideas from the supportive facts. They use the tools of emphasis to make their messages information hierarchy instantly recognizable.

-Fifth Commandment: Simplicity

Guerrillas design to Simplify.

Guerrilla Marketing Designers recognize that readers quickly can lose interest when reading extended text, like articles, memos, newsletters or proposals. Accordingly, Guerrillas maintain reader interest by breaking information into manageable, bite-sized chunks using techniques like segues, subheads, lists and sidebars.

Simplicity also involves restraint. Guerrilla Marketers recognize that less is more when it comes to emphasis. They exercise extreme discretion before making typeface, type size, type style or color choices.

Guerrillas recognize that one outstanding photograph communicates more than three average photographs.

-Sixth Commandment: Instant Communication

Guerrilla Marketing Design is visual.

Guerrillas strive to replace words and sentences with story-telling visuals. These include charts, graphs, lists, organization charts, tables and timelines that communicate at a glance.

Guerrillas use visuals to quickly communicate comparisons, relationships and sequence.

Guerrilla Marketers understand that words alone are not enough to ensure marketing success. The presentation of the words has to be as finely-executed as the words themselves.

Guerrillas understand that design is not a mystery, nor is it a cure-all.

Rather, design is a fundamental business competency that can be mastered when the right resources are chosen and properly utilized.

Article Marketing - The Single Most Effective Method To Increase Your Sales On The Internet!

Writing and submitting articles to directories can considerably increase your traffic and sales. It doesn't matter if you never wrote a single word before or if the last time you wrote a three hundred words article was more than ten years ago.

If you have a website about 'dog training', start writing right away. Just write like you talk. In fact, you can just write your articles as though you were talking in just simple, every day language that your reader will enjoy reading.

Don't be too concerned if you don't think you are good at writing articles, they don't need to be perfect. All you need to do is to give your reader useful information. If you can help them and give them the solution that to solve their problems faster, you will make a lot of money.

Your articles don't need to be extremely long but most article directories will have a minimum word of around 250 words.

With article marketing, you can promote your own product, affiliate products, your website or your blog. In fact, you can promote everything under the sun. Just be sure to add a bio box with a link to your web property.

Another advanced technique is to send your visitors to a squeeze page to capture their email address. Doing this will allow you to send them promotional offers for months to come.

Once you have written an article you then need to submit it to article directories. It is important to submit to at least a couple of the top directories such as EzineArticles, Article Dashboard and Article City. These directories have high page rankings so your articles will receive many visitors. Now when your articles have been approved and published then you should receive many visitors when people search Google for any of your keywords.

Article Marketing - A Simple But Powerful Promotion Skill

Article marketing is a valuable method of getting traffic to your website. In case you're not familiar with it, article marketing is basically the process of writing articles and submitting them, along with links back to your website, to article reprint directories on the internet.

You're probably quite aware of the value of having fresh content on your website and blog. Many people who own websites visit article reprint directories on a regular basis to get new content for their sites.

When you submit your article to these directories, you're giving permission for other people to use your article on their site - for free. The catch is, they have to include an "about the author" section at the end of each article they use. This can include information about your website and links back to it.

When your article gets used on someone's website, everyone who reads the article sees your author bio and the links back to your website. A good article can wind up on hundreds of websites, where many people can read it. And how many of those people could click your link and visit your website?

These article directories are easy to find. Just do a Google search for free article directories and you'll find a bunch. Some of them are specific to certain topics, while others will accept articles on almost any subject. You can submit your article to multiple directories and you can even get software that will automate the process for you.

You have virtually unlimited topics to write about. What is your website about? Get creative in thinking up topics. If someone would want to visit your website to learn something, write an article about that.

Someone who sells Tupperware for instance, could easily write about food related items or take it a step further an write an article about the fact that the plastic containers are great for organizing toys, bathroom items or even nuts and bolts in the garage.

If you don't like writing, it's not the end of the world. You can hire ghostwriters to write the articles for you, for anywhere from $5 to $20 for a 500 word article. Once you give the ghostwriter the topic and any keywords you want to target, they'll do all the writing for you. And some will even do the submission to the article directories so you can spend your time on other tasks.

Stop giving your content away for free - get paid for your article marketing. Find out how you can get paid for submitting articles with the internet's first viral article network. Visit http://www.articlesgoneviral.com for more information about how you can make money with your articles.

Discover Why Article Marketing Is Best For Downline Building Part I

Writing article? What a boring thing to do. Yes, boring it may be to some people, but article writing or marketing is one of the best ways any home business person can use to generate an endless flow of traffic to a website. But how willing are people to do this?

I love article marketing because it is the best form of advertising whatsoever you have on the internet. The reason is an article posted online has the potential of giving you steady traffic and website visitors for a very long time to come.

Are you a home based business person? Are you trying to sell your products online? Are you trying to build your downline? Are also using article marketing to sell or answer the above questions?

Unlike any paid advertising which last for a while, article marketing can stay for as long as the directories you submitted your articles to, stays online.

When you write an article for building a downline in your home business, your articles should not be focused on the opportunity. It should focus on a product or service that your home business produce. Now what I'm saying is this, you should write on the subject matter concerning your product and not a plain advert as an article.

There should be nothing like any sales pitch. It should be an informative article that tells each of your reader how vast and valuable in terms of knowledge you have on the subject matter.

Articles does not in any way forces readers to buy a product of any sort. Instead it gives them enough information that they seek to find out more about you the writer of those articles.

The Benefits of Ghostwriters

There are scads of benefits that you gain when you hire a ghostwriter to help you with your articles or other writing needs. One of the most important is that you are able to claim the article as your own. As a matter of fact, many ghostwriters are proficient at mimicking styles, so if you're a writer but just don't have the time to work, you can show them a piece that you have done in the past. They should then be able to craft a new article or other piece and have it match your writing style and tone. Because they are accustomed to article marketing tactics and such, you are able to put the work into their hands and focus on other important aspects of your business.

This is the best way to really excel in article marketing. If you don't talk about what you already know about, your going to be left behind.

When you start article marketing, talk about something that your capable of talking about. Don't talk about fishing when you have no idea what kind of bait to use if you want to catch a certain fish! This is crazy! Talk about something that you really understand.

Usually people get into article marketing because of affiliate programs. Well there is a little something that you should know about affiliate programs. ONLY JOIN THE ONES THAT YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT! Don't join an affiliate program about video games if you've never played any. That is why so many beginning article marketers fail. They don't know what they're talking about, and so they give up. Start writing about something that your comfortable writing about. If you don't your going to lose!

You need to be an expert on whatever your writing your article about. You can't do this if you have no idea of what your writing about. How do you expect to write hundreds of articles about something you've never touched,or used? It's insane! Your just going to be wasting your time because no one is going to take you seriously.

Find a topic that you can talk about, and your article marketing success will skyrocket.

Article Marketing - 6 Strategic Ways To Write An Article In Less Than 10 Minutes

These five strategies will vastly increase your article writing speed. If you just follow these tactics, you'll start pumping out articles every ten minutes. I promise.

6 strategic ways to make a successful article in less than 10 minutes

  1. Writing in bullet points is a great way to write article faster. Instead of trying to think of a way to make a sentence that connects your last sentence to the next one, you can just put up a bullet point. This is a fast way to write an article, and readers love it when you use bullet points.

  2. Using the backspace button will decrease your articles submission rate. Try your best not to use the back space. The more you use it, the slower your article writing becomes. The backspace button is your enemy!

  3. Do not write rough drafts and brain storms. This will decrease your article writing time. By the time your done writing the brainstorm and rough draft, you could have already written more than 5 articles waiting to be submitted. So don't write rough drafts or articles. This vastly decreases your article writing time.

  4. Writing without thinking is one of the best ways to write a fast article. Don't stop to think if your last sentence was good or not. Chances are that it was good enough. Just write and don't think about what to write about. Just do it. Let your subconscious flow through your fingertips and let your hands write you a successful article.

  5. Write about something that you know about. Writing about something you have that absolutely no idea what it's about will increase your writers block and decrease your articles submission time. Write about something you know!

  6. Split up your subject into sub topics. The more sub topics you have, the better. Then once your done breaking it up, start writing about each sub topic. This is a great way to write a fast article because your not trying to squeeze in every ounce of information about your subject. Your just trying to write small fragments about your subject.

This article only took me 8 minutes to write and now I am going to be working on my next one. Just follow these strategies, and your article writing speed will vastly increase!

Why is Keyword Research Critical?

As soon as you get into search engine optimization, you'll start hearing new phrases like keyword research. You're probably wondering what keyword research is and why is it critical?

Keyword research is a beautiful thing. Why? It is a glimpse into the minds of your potential customers and clients. What if you could gain access to a database of information on how your prospects thought about the products you are offering? What if you could identify the exact words they used in their minds? Couldn't you tailor your site and marketing to really take of advantage of that information? On the web, you can with keyword research.

There are large databases on the web that collect the search habits of people using search engines. Before you start screaming about privacy, the only thing being tracked is general search queries, not who is making them. At least not by name, but that is another subject that Google will have to answer to. But I digress.

With keyword research, you can access these databases and see the exact phrases people are using when they search for information in your business area. Let's say I sell books on dog training. I can search for all searches done by people that include the phrase "dog training" in them. The databases will then kick out all the phrases.

Depending on the systems, the phrases may include information such as the number of times a day, week or month the phrase was used in a search. The systems might also tell you how many other websites are trying to get ranked under each keyword phrase. For all intensive purposes, we are talking about a gold mine of information! The first step in any SEO campaign is to do keyword research and then embed them in your site as you can read here.

Marketing an Internet Presence - Network is a Verb

I was speaking with the CEO of an executive career and job site recently. We were making another installment in our ongoing discussion about developing and marketing an on-line Internet presence by leveraging on-line networking platforms.

The CEO made a statement that reminded me of the national, multicultural, social marketing campaign coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

VERB It's what you do.

To network does - not - mean to simply join a networking platform, create a profile, and passively expect magic to happen. It requires action. It requires reaching out. That's right - it requires effort.

I've talked to many people over the years that complain about not getting anything out of their membership to a given networking platform. When I ask, "What exactly did you - do - after joining the networking platform?" The response (all too often) is, "Do?"

There are millions of - inactive - members of networking platforms. Unfortunately, that translates into million of people that are not realizing the benefit of on-line networking.

Network: It's what you - do - that counts.

There are obviously multitudes of ways one can take action and reach out. You can reach out directly to specific individuals through personal messages/emails or indirectly by posting blogs on topics of common interest, subject matter expertise, etc., or starting a club/forum around a common interest, subject matter expertise, etc. They all require action.

I belong to and I'm a heavy user of on-line networking platforms. All on-line networking platforms are not created equal. From my experience, without a doubt, out of all of the on-line networking platforms I've experimented with, I've found - the best - place to network and start investing in building an on-line Internet presence. It is amazing how fast you can do this.

As an example, do a Google search on the key words: do you exist

The first thing I want you to notice is that the result is a search return of approximately 412,000,000 hits. Now note that my blog post "Do you exist? - by Ron Bates" typically comes up as the 1st - 3rd hit on the first page out of 412 - million - hits. This capability is invaluable to someone desiring to build and market a personal or corporate Internet presence.

I believe so strongly in the power of building an Internet Presence by leveraging on-line networkin that I built a website just to discuss specifically how to do this.

Happy Networking!

How To Use Article Marketing To Build Your Internet Business

A powerful tool to build your small business whether it be an online business or an offline business is through article marketing. In this article, I will provide you with several steps that will help you reach your potential customers.

The first step in writing an article is picking a specific topic about your business that would have interest to your customers. For example, if you paint houses, a good topics for an article is "choosing the right colors for your home" or "the best way to find a reputable home painter". Here's another example related to a unique service I saw advertised on the window of a car driving next to me. The service was organizing a slumber party. It made me curious and I really wanted to know more about it. The owner might write an article about the pitfalls of having a slumber party or the key steps to organizing a fun-filled slumber party.

The idea here is to write something useful but not overwhelm the reader with too much information.

Once you have written your article, you complete it with a call to action. This is your opportunity to give the reader a chance to start a relationship with you. A call to action will include one or two links to your web page. The link you provide should take the reader to either a free report or something that you think they will find useful. It should also have similar content to what your original article was about.

Once you have the reader follow through with a call to action hopefully you will have captured their information and you able you are able start relationship with them. The type of information you provide and capture will vary between businesses. The painter might want to capture a phone number and reach out to the person so he can provide more information and answer questions. The slumber party organizer may have the reader sign up to a seven-day eCourse explaining the process for organizing a great and safe slumber party.

In closing, article marketing can be an extremely effective ways to build a small business. Give it a try today!

Profitable Article Marketing - Uncover 4 Great Methods to Improve Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is a great off-page SEO solution that can help you build quality inbound links for your website without the need to resort to link building campaigns. You just need to write and distribute your articles online to impart your knowledge, gain the trust of your potential clients, and drive them to your website.

Here are the 4 great methods to improve your article marketing:

1. Supercharge your titles. This is the first element that online users will see online. Thus, you need to create a strong impression to compel them to open and read your articles. Make your headlines short, direct to the point, and descriptive of what your article is all about. Employ emotion, logic, exaggeration, and anything that will push your potential clients' buttons. Remember, to be successful in this marketing technique, you need to be desperate for attention.

2. Power up your author's bio. Introduce yourself to online users by giving them sneak peak on what you do, your hobbies, and your willingness to help. Avoid making your short biography a blatant advertisement and just make it personal. This is your first step in building rapport with your readers so they will learn to trust you eventually. Don't forget to include your most friendly-looking picture to make your bio more interesting and visually appealing.

3. Do keyword analysis. Know what keywords are ranking better on search engines and use them on your content. By doing so, you will make your articles highly searchable online.

4. Carefully choose your topics. If you don't know where to get great topic ideas, I highly recommend forums and article submission sites. These can give you great insights on what your potential clients might be looking for on your articles. Just stick to those topics that are relevant to your products so you can attract qualified traffic to your website.

Blocked from Emperor Google - Use the Fast Track Back in

The World Wide Web has several sides to it and while SEO plays a significant role in how your business succeeds, you must know there is a dark side which some experience and others dont. What can hurt your business the most is being excluded or banned from Googles indexing.

How does this happen? If you are using a SEO company that functions just on the other side of the right side and flaunts all of Googles guidelines or you somehow get a spam penalty. You need to make amends quickly.

Comb through your website and check for hidden text, hidden links, doorway pages, or redirections. Determine whether you are guilty of over optimization or what is termed as SEO Overkill.

Read through Googles guidelines and ensure that your site complies with each and every norm. Remove or redo offenders and check and recheck each page thoroughly.

Read and understand what SEO overkill means. Take care to do the best for your website but not overkill. Be smart and avoid shady actions. Google sticks to rules and righteously will exclude sites that flaunt norms. So, toe the line at all times.

Send a re-inclusion request to Google. You need to log in to Google Sitemaps and choose request reinclusion link and follow the steps. Understand Google by reading through the Google webmaster tools.

Use Google webmaster discussion group and Googles blog for webmasters for information on Google crawl and indexing methods and share as well as gain expertise from other webmasters.

Fill in the reinclusion form clearly and honestly. Write in the subject line reinclusion request.

It pays to be upfront and honest. Admit to mistakes and make sure you fix them. Never try and play innocent, even if the mistakes were made by a contractor the responsibility is still yours alone.

Explain clearly where and why the mistakes occurred and that you have made the changes.

Avoid being rude or using threats. You will just end up being left out in the cold.

Wait for Google to reply patiently. Never flood their email boxes with reminders or follow up letters.

The crux lies in figuring out what is wrong and how to set it right. Google is not out to get you. If you follow all the rules of SEO and fair play as far as Google goes you will face no problem. A user friendly site Google makes all efforts to update its help and other guidelines such that webmasters will benefit.

If you take care to do it right you will be reinstated in no time at all. Some have taken just a week to ten days.

The Key to Building Effective Links

While the creation and subsequent presence of effective links within your website is a crucial factor in ensuring that your website is well optimized for search engines, it is still only one factor and you should take the time to explore other means by which you can achieve a successful search engine optimization (SEO) campaign.

This article will be focusing primarily on Link development but you would do well to be aware of the other factors of successful SEO such as the Text component, which involves the use of various words and phrases that your target audience will most likely types into search queries and the Popularity component which has to do with the number and quality of links pointing to a Web site.

One of the most important things to keep in mind and one that eludes most first-time web developers is that high-quality link development takes a considerable amount of time. There is simply no way to get around this fact and many web developers who resort to the use of spidering software as opposed to actual human efforts are bound to experience less than satisfactory results.

Link farms have as of recent times already garnered an unsavory reputation but for those who are new at this it bears repeating that you should avoid these at all costs. In almost all cases, a text link that you purchase from a link farm will have absolutely no value and therefore have no use for you. Be wary of sites that feature several links that obviously have nothing to do with each other and are irrelevant to that particular sites theme and general content. This is not a hard and fast rule however, as there are many reputable sites that host a large number of links. Take your time to determine which ones can actually be of value to you.

Relevance is of course of primary importance and to this end you should make sure that any links that you host on your site are relevant to your content and general theme. You can help ensure this by targeting most of your link purchases to sites that have the same subject matter as yours. This will result in a better link profile that will eventually translate into more publicity for your site and higher visibility in search engine results.

One of the easiest considerations to miss when you are in the midst of a link buying frenzy is whether the domain name that you are buying the link from is actually still operational. Many domains that are in fact expired still show up in Google so you may unwittingly fall for one of them. Check the status of the domains in question yourself and if they are expired it may be best to avoid them and save yourself the money; they probably will not be of any use to you.

Probably? Yes, because in some cases, even if the domain has expired it could still be of some use to you if it has good backlinks. Whether a site is good or not is largely dependent on the quality as well as quantity of its backlinks. Both active and expired domains can have a favorable backlink profile so do not automatically discount a domain just because it has expired.

You should of course always check your links for page ranking and make sure it is the current page ranking and not a fake one. http://www.digpagerank.com/ is a good site to check your current page ranking.

One of the most important factors that can affect the quality of a backlink is the number of outbound links. Generally speaking, a good quality backlink will have as few outbound links as possible. The total number of outbound links on a page will also have an impact on the value of a particular page. You should also consider the possibility of buying links as a means of increasing traffic to your site as opposed to buying links for the purpose of increasing page ranking. This could potentially provide more direct benefits and even profits for you.

Some other things to keep in mind: contextual links are supposedly seen by Google as being more natural and therefore will prioritize these over other links. .gov or .edu links are not treated as special in any way by Google so consider carefully the benefits of hosting such links. Look for a site that has similar keywords to yours for a better ranking in Google search engine results page. Finally, it would be best to avoid purchasing a site wide text link if all the other outbound links on that site have nothing to do with the site in question.

Regcure Registry Cleaner Reviews - User Experience

Yesterday my computer kept crashing with illegal operation errors. At first I thought my computer was over heated. Then I moved my computer to a room that had air condition, but the problems still existed. My brother told me my computer might have some registry errors, and he recommended a registry cleaner called Regcure.

I did a little research on Regcure throughout the internet. In the Google search engine, I typed “bad reviews for Regcure” and “complaints against Regcure” in order to find out the down side of the software. Most of the RegCure user reviews are good, but there are still some bad reviews for regcure. For example, Regcure lacks registry defragmenting, has only one method of backup compared to 3 different ways with Max Registry Cleaner and does not have some of the more advanced support features like Live Help and scan log analysis. However, after using the free trial, I found out that Regcure can actually do some tasks that most of the registry cleaner can't do, such as:

  • Automatic Repair: Regcure offers you the ability to perform an automatic repair of detected items after a scan.
  • Backup and Restore: An automatic backup is created every time you use Regcure. You can restore any items any time for peace of mind.
  • Startup Management: Regcure offers quick and easy access to all the programs that are launched when you start your computer. You can enable and disable applications in the Manage Startup list with a few simple clicks.
After reading some of the user reviews, I had enough confident about using Regcure. It also offers a free scan of my computer to diagnose potential problems. The scan showed that I had over 700 errors in my computer, and I eventually bought the registry cleaner. It is also compatible with all Window’s operating system, and it includes a full back-up utility to make my registry cleaning experience as easy and safe as possible. Equipped with the standard features of most registry cleaners like custom scanning options, registry optimization, backup/restore capabilities and scheduled scanning options Regcure is a satisfactory registry optimizer.

Honestly I am impressed after using Regcure. It is an extremely simple and easy to use registry cleaner. I only spent less than 5 minutes to learn how to use it properly, and the result is excellent. Now my computer is like brand new.

Why Need RegCure If You Already Have Antivirus Software? There is really no technical reason why antivirus software could not do the work of removal spyware tool like RegCure. And, in fact, some antivirus programs do identify some spyware. However, much of spyware and adware exist in a gray area, not out-and-out fraudulent or harmful, but still raising concerns about privacy. The demarcation lines are still unclear, and that’s one big reason why antivirus software does not yet fully deal with spyware threats.

Antivirus software makers have been reluctant to tackle the spyware threat head-on, usually focusing on only the most egregious examples of spyware. That's why you really need to use a removal spyware tool like RegCure, even if you have antivirus protection on your PC.

RegCure is a great registry cleaner. However, it is not perfect because it lacks of some advanced settings. If you only need to find a registry cleaner for some basic scanning and fixing, RegCure can do more than enough for you. On the other hand, if you need some advanced features such as memory optimizer and junk file cleaner and you can afford a few more dollars, I strongly recommend Registry Easy You can read a full Registry Easy Review here

Link Building Strategies That Will Drive Traffic To Your Site

It is no secret that building links to your website is the key getting high quality traffic and to getting highly ranked by the major search engines.

Before you start to build links to your site, it is important to know how many links already exist for your website.this way you can track how successful your efforts at building new links are. If you don't already know how, one method is to search for your domain name make sure you enter the entire URL. The results will show all of the links that Google has indexed for your site. Some results are typically left out of the results though, so in order to know exactly how many links for your site are in the Google index you will need to get their free webmaster tools, just google "webmaster tools."

If you are trying to drive traffic to your website, these tools are a must have. Once your account is open, just go to the dash board and select the pages with external links option to know how many websites are linked to you.

Proven Methods to Get More External links to Your Site

First, Get involved in your niche

If you are starting a new internet business and want to attract traffic to you site. The first step should be to get involved with other people who have chosen the same niche.

What ever business you are in there are Blogs and Forums discussing your topic. By participating in the conversations that are already taking place you will not only pick up tips and tricks, but you will also build credibility.

With that credibility will come traffic from other members of the discussion, and with the traffic will come external links to your site. Of course you will have to have strong original content to keep their atention. On the internet you need to be fast, fluid, and flexible in order to draw the attention of your target market.

Another very effective way of bringing links to your new website is to write articles and submit them to the various online outlets. I try to write several articles per week If you dont know how to get started article writing, just do a quick search and you will find plenty of information on how to get started. Believe me when I tell you it is a very effective way to get links and targeted traffic to your website.

In addition to writing articles, putting out press releases on your new business is another great way to get attention. You can do a press release online, or send it to your local paper. Many times they will pick up a story about a local entrepreneur and you will get loads of free advertising and traffic. Again, if this idea is new do a search and learn how to do it, the results will be worth the effort.

Social Networking

I have not used these services as much as I should, but they are the wave of the future, so you can be sure that I will be building my sites on places like Facebook and MySpace. But they aren't the only social sites out there.StumbleUpon, Digg, and del.icio.us among many others, are also great sources of traffic. these social bookmarking sites are growing in popularity each day.

Basically members recommend sites to other members in hundreds of diffferent categories. I have used StumbleUpon and submitted posts from my SEO Blog with good results. The key to these sites, once again, is having great original content. Once you put it out to them the community will promote and link to your site. I have heard some great success stories from other bloggers who use them too, so I will continue to post great original content, and hope all of my readers submit me to their favorit social bookmarking sites.

These three steps are a good beginning to a solid link building strategy. They wont always get traffic to your site immediately, but with persistence you will build the back-links that are needed for your site and the traffic will start to come in. I have personally seen dramatic increases in traffic from my linking strategy.

Keep in mind that making money in any online business opportunity is a marathon, not a sprint. It is better to spend a few hours a day doing what works than to spend hours attempting a new scheme and loosing focus on your main goal. Happy link building.

Best Practices For Link Building

Link Building is considered by many people to be one of the most useful and effective Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) technique to achieve high ranking on the search engines. Actually, if you have not done or started doing any link building yet, you should seriously consider doing some now or at least contact an SEO company that would do the link building for you.

There are different ways of doing link building but not all are good so you have to be really careful. Link directories are not as effective as they used to be, but they can still be considered quality links. But not all directories are good to use, and there are very few directories that are still worth submitting to like Dmoz for example. Another link building method that is worth doing is articles and news submission. The great thing about good article or news sites is that their article pages actually rank highly and send highly qualified traffic. So as well as getting inbound links from them you will usually get qualified traffic to your website.

Link baiting is a method where the quality of your content is useful or entertaining enough that people will want to link to it, thus improving your number of inbound links and your position in the search engine results pages. It can be done through your website's content as well as through your blog!

Link exchange can be bad for your website and get you banned from Google only if you got too many irrelevant links from poor quality websites. And if you use link exchange, you have to be very selective and be very careful. Finally you can use forums and blogs for your link building. Most forums allow members to leave signature links or personal profile links. If you make quality contributions some people will follow these links and potentially read your site, link at your site, and/or buy your products. You can also post comments in blogs with a link back to your website.

In the end, remember that inbound links using good anchor text are your goal from a Search Engine Optimisation perspective. It is much better to have 10 inbounds from relevant sites with a Page Rank of zero, than 100 inbounds from unrelated, Page Rank 8 websites. And think long-term when building links, as it takes time and will never be a one time work.

Article Marketing - Getting A Surge Of Ideas On To Write About

Article Marketing is one of the best ways to generate traffic to a website. However, the most difficult part is coming up with a topic for an article on a regular basis. That's where most people stop and don't get things done. Whether you're writing the articles yourself or hiring a ghostwriter to do it for you, you must know what topics you're going to write about. Here's how you can overcome the "writer's block".

The secret is to read information on various sources and keep a note of any ideas you have for writing an article. There are thousands of resources on the internet which you can read on your niche.

To find existing content, you can visit several ezine directories which are well respected. EzineArticles and GoArticles for instance have quality articles which you can read on. Technorati is also an excellent resource for getting ideas and learning about your niche. It has the latest updates of blogs which you can search for within your market.

Read through many of the article titles and choose the ones you like. Then think of the titles for your own articles and write them down using the notepad program in Windows.

If you spend an hour or two doing this exercise, you'll have over 50 topics to write about by looking through the article title and the ideas you have written for each title.

As well as looking through these free resources, you can also get ideas elsewhere which tell you they are "in-demand" and that people want to know more about. Writing about what people want to know about is the smartest thing you can do.

1. Amazon.com

Go to Amazon.com and to the Books section. Search for your keywords and you will see a list of books that are ranked in order of popularity. Read the descriptions of the books and find out why they're popular. People buy the books for a reason. Concentrate on writing articles for topics that are "hot".

2. Clickbank.com

Go to Clickbank and visit the MarketPlace section. http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace Go to the category which your niche is related to and look at the top products which are selling well. Again, these are products which are "in-demand" and people are interested in the information. Go to the sales page of these products and get ideas from them. Look at the bullet points and the features/benefits of their products and write about each one of them.

3. Forums.

Go to forums which are related to your niche and look for threads which have lots of recent replies to them. Find out and see if the post is about a certain topic in your niche which the community wants to know more about.

Using this system, you'll never have a shortage of what to write about. If there's something new with your niche that you don't know about then read up on it and write an article in your own words on the new thing which you've learnt.

Now go through the list you've written on your notepad one by one and start writing your articles.

Easy One Way Links To Your Website

Online websites know that inbound links are absolutely essential for the promotion of your website. Links feed search engines so when you have more, you become more popular. More quality links will cause you to move up in search results for keywords. Of course, when it comes to back links, some are better than others. One way links from Authority Sites that have good page strength are highly preferable.

Inbound links pointing to your website are vital if you want to improve traffic to your website. Inbound links will improve your websites rankings for organic search engines and provide another path for visitors to find your website. Getting links from high traffic, authority sites are weighted more than most links. The main objective in most SEO campaigns is building high quality, one way links to your website.

One of the best and easiest ways to accumulate one way inbound links to your website is to list it in web directories. A few of the better ones are the Open Directory Project, Yahoo and the Authority Directory.

The ODP is free to submit, but it could take a very long time to get reviewed. The percentage of those that get accepted there is not very high either. Yahoo's directory takes about seven days for review and costs $299 per year. The fee at Yahoo is non-refundable and acceptance is not guaranteed there either. The AuthorityDirectory.com charges a small annual fee and review is generally completed within 48 hours. Your site is not guaranteed to be accepted at the Authority Directory either, but in most cases they refund the fee if your site is not accepted.

Exchanging links with other sites is a risky way of collecting links. If you accidentally exchange a link with a banned site, it can actually hurt your sites popularity or get your site banned. Google and many other search engines have made statements that they are devaluing reciprocal links.

Building links is a never ending cycle. Links drop off and new ones need to be established if you want to continue to rank highly. It is important for you to realize that link building is an on-going process. If you want to rank highly in the search engines, you are going to need to steadily build links to your site. Link popularity will make the difference between your site appearing on the first page of search results or not at all.

Inbound links can generate traffic to your site in two different ways. Traffic that comes from click through traffic and better organic results in search engines.

Click through traffic comes from visitors to the site your link is located at just clicking directly on the link. This can become highly relevant traffic if the site your link is located at gets a large amount of traffic. Traffic increases due to organic search results can be huge.

Inbound links help you achieve traffic through both click through traffic and organic search results. Directory listings are a great place to start with your link building campaign.

Understand Backlinks from Search Engines

Most Search Engine Optimizers understand the importance of the backlinks in order for a website to succeed. Most search engines take into account of the backlinks quality for their ranking algorithm. We will cover the top three search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN) here and discuss how they treat backlinks from their point of view.

The most popular search engine, Google, places great emphasis on backlinks. In fact, relevant backlinks is all a website needs to achieve a high ranking in Google result page. Google, however, does not shows all the indexed backlinks when user queries with the link: operator. In addition, Google does not update their backlink index as frequent as their search results.

It is believed that multiple backlinks from a same domain does not have the stack effect in Google. For example, links from forum signatures and directories will have minimum weigh in Google's ranking algorithm.

Yahoo, on the other hand, chooses to display all the backlinks to the users. A search with the link: operator often reveals most of a page's backlinks to screen. Although they display most of the backlinks, it does not mean that they value them as much as in Google. Unfortunately, backlinks are not as important as they are in Yahoo than in Google.

Yahoo has introduced a site explorer interface to aid the webmasters in locating the backlinks and other useful information. Yahoo also provides one of the best API for the web masters' usage.

MSN also offers to display all the backlinks to the user with the link: operator query. The backlinks update in MSN also seems to be the most updated among all the three search engines. It may seems that MSN focus a lot on backlinks but this is usually not the case. Backlinks are not as important as keyword domain in MSN's point of view.

In conclusion, Google is the only search engine that put a lot of focus on backlinks in their ranking formula and since they are the most popular search engine, backlinks are important for every website. It is recommended to use Yahoo or MSN to check for backlinks because they show a more complete listing.

How to Rank Higher on Search Engines by Getting High Page Rank

It is important for your website to be on good terms with search engines so that you can get organic traffic to your site. And in order to do so, you need to achieve high page rank on your web pages. You are given a high page rank on your pages when search engines find your site valuable, and when you gets the recognition, it shows that you are rank high on search engines, thus given access to free traffic from search engines.

So how does it work? Page rank is transferred through links. The more inbound links you receive from higher page rank sites, the higher your site's page rank will be. Additionally, page rank does not carry over to all pages on your site. For instance, you could have a PR5 home page, but your other pages might be PR3 or not indexed at all.

Another important concept to keep in mind when setting up external links is that they 'bleed' your page rank. This means that linking to too many external sites can actually decrease your own page rank. For this reason, you will want to mitigate the amount of links you put on each page to prevent decreasing your page rank.

In order to receive high page rank, you need to get lots of inbound links pointing to you. Let us look at 3 ways that you can achieve this.

If you have a blog for your website, you will know how sticky and popular it is to get returning visitors. So the first thing you can try is to utilize high rank blogs on the internet to your advantage. Getting links to your site on high page rank blogs is also a good linking strategy. You can do this by making useful, intelligent posts on related blogs, and including your signature with a link pointing to your site. Remember to use your targeted keywords in your anchor text and surrounding text to ensure that your link is given a high relevancy score for your topic.

Viral marketing can also be an excellent tool for getting inbound links. You can do this by sending out surveys, quizzes, and other viral mechanisms, and including a link to your site at the bottom. Every time someone posts the survey, you will get an additional link to your site. This also works for viral videos, which people will have to link to.

Lastly, one of the new and popular ways to get traffic and links to your site is through the use of social bookmarking. Social bookmarking sites, such as Digg, Technorati, and Del.icio.us are high page rank sites that allow bloggers and site owners to submit posts or pages. Not only can this be a good way to increase your natural search engine traffic (by getting a high PR, inbound link), but it can also be a great way to generate more click through traffic.

Just remember that, you need to constantly build links to your site and provide quality content from your site. By achieving a high page rank on your web pages, you are sure to pull in lots of organic traffic from the search engines.
